Sink Materials

Next, you need to decide what you would like your sink to be made out of. There are three classic materials. Stainless steel,  porcelain, and composite.

Porcelain is a popular material for kitchen and bathroom sinks due to its durability and classic look. Sink Installation

There are three common different types of sink installations. Undermount, Drop-In, and Vessel.

Vessel Sink

Undermounted sinks mean that the sink edges are underneath the countertop and are not visible. This creates a seamless flow from the countertop edge to sink.

A Drop-In sink is the opposite of an undermounted sink, whereas the sink edges are visible on the countertop surface.

Common in bathrooms, a vessel sink, is simply the basin of the sink sitting on top of the countertop. This installation gives off a three-dimensional look to the vanity.
